According to the band, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s 2006 winter tour was its most successful to date, with 80 shows performed in front of more than 1 million fans, according to a press release.

The band, established in 1996 by rock producer/composer/lyricist Paul O’Neill, has released four CDs–three holiday sets and and 2000’s “Beethoven’s Last Night”–plus the 2001 DVD “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve.” TSO’s most recent studio album, “The Lost Christmas Eve,” surfaced in 2004 and was followed later that year by the “The Christmas Trilogy” box set.
